WATCH: AKA stars alongside Lorcia Cooper and Riky Rick in the new Nandi movie

Hipsterism hop heavyweight AKA can add actor to his capsule if his rearmost post on Instagram is anything to go by.

The rapper took to Instagram this week to advertise that he’d be making a gem appearance in Nandi. AKA posted the caravan of the movie in which he’s seen speaking to award- winning actress, Lorcia Cooper.
“ Check out the caravan for “ NANDI” … produced by none other than my [email protected] Congrats on your first film titlist! Looking forward to seeing it! And oh yeah … glance your boi’s like gem too! Had lots of fun shooting it,” said AKA in the post.

Directed by Khalid EL-Jelailati, the film follows the spiralling trip of Nandi and Carl in the underbelly of the felonious world.

The two meth addicts struggle to make ends meet and are forced to turn to harlotry to feed their habits.

This comes at a high particular cost as they find themselves inching on the home of Moth, an ambitious and violent pander, soon to be the most dominant meth dealer in city.

Whether it’s thanks to bad luck or good fortune they ever stumble across a bag filled with Moth’s medicines and true to junkie form-they steal it.

What ensues is a bowwow of violence and blood.

Alongside Lorcia Cooper, Nandi stars Riky Rick, Thenjiwe Pswarayi, Dumisani Mbebe, Camilla Waldman, Anga Makubalo and Yemi Ajayi.

Nandi made its debut at the Durban International Film Festival before this time.

This week it was also blazoned that the Fela in Versace hitmaker has been nominated in the artist of the decade order at this time’s SA Hip Hop Awards.
