Former Gomora actor Israel Matseke-Zulu has announced that he does not want to talk about his leg amputation and his troubles with gangrene.

Matseke-Zulu, who played the role of Don in the most-watched telenovela on Mzansi-Magic, left the show before losing his leg from gangrene.

Israel Matseke-Zulu had to leave Gomora because he was sick stating that the gangrene problem started shortly after he joined the popular telenovela.

Recently, Don told the Daily Sun that he is still struggling with the loss of his right leg but journalists were making a feast writing about him.

Israel added that he did not know who gave journalists the right to write about his leg surgery.

He also said that he understands that journalists have the right to cover celebrities but he does not want to talk about his operations.

The veteran actor says he doesn’t want to pretend he’s okay with what happened to his leg and still doesn’t want to talk about it.

I wasn’t willing to speak about it and I’m still not willing to speak about it.

The actor’s leg was amputated two weeks ago at Sandton Hospital.

Gomora fans noted that Matseke-Zulu hobbled on the show, and some even said he shot most of his scenes sitting down.

The actor added that towards the end of his final scene he used a wheelchair to enter the set.

Fans are saddened and shocked by his departure as he was such an integral part of the show’s cast.

The decision to leave the show was not an easy one for Zulu, who is considered one of the most talented actors in Mzansi.

Performance is my life, this was one of the hardest decisions that I had to take, but I saw that my health matters the most and I need to recover.
