Inhabitants of the Mooiplaas and Spruit casual settlements in Centurion, north of Johannesburg, lined for kilometers on Thursday morning to get genuinely necessary alleviation to climate the Covid-19 tempest.

Ten thousand food packages were passed out to inhabitants “injured by the financial results of the Covid-19 lockdown”, social extremist Yusuf Abramjee said.

The bundles included mealie dinner, vegetables, face veils, sanitiser and cleanser.
