Viggy and Virginia: I have NO Interest In signing – DJ Tira

Cape Town – They glittered from the word go, their voices stole the show, from their initial audition; the Qwabe twins instantly became the crowd favorites on Idols SA.

They were so good, to the extent that musicians like Zahara pledged to help them find their feet in the entertainment sector, should they not be successful in the competition.

Now, Virginia and Viggy Qwabe have bowed out of the competition after a dramatic exit that led to multiple gossips as people got talking on social media. For some, if there was ever a time for big names in the industry to lend a helping hand, it is now. DJ Tira was not hesitant to jump in and offer assistance to the talented twins.

Taking to Twitter, Tira wrote that very soon he will be working with the twin sisters.

“I need the twins at Afrotainment studios…,” he tweeted.

Fans of the twins immediately responded, with many suggesting this meant Tira was planning to sign the singers from KwaZulu-Natal but, according to him, it is not as such.

Speaking to DRUM, Tira put the record straight. He expressed that he is convinced that the Qwabe twins are very talented and that he would love to help them if he can.

“I don’t have an interest in signing them, but I want to help them on their journey in the music industry. I would like to contribute to their journey in the industry, whether we do a song or two together,” he said.

But, the twins’ fans expressed concern that this is a publicity gimmick for the already successful producer.

Tira answered back explaining that he doesn’t do things neither to impress people, nor is he an attention seeker. He said he has worked with many KZN artists before.

“I think I am well-known, and my work speaks for itself. I work with talent, I help talent and I move on,” he said.
