Social media is confused by the results of Zodwa Wabantu’s HIV test


The reality star and dancer Zodwa Wabantu recently shocked the country by sharing the results of an HIV test she took.

She shared pictures of the results, which left many confused, together the kit said she was positive and therefore the other said she was negative.

Zodwa recently spoke to Daily Sun about why she decided to form the results public.

“I decided to publicize my results because I would like to show people about taking care of themselves and their health.

“I’m always talking about s.e.x and the way much I really like it. It recently dawned on me that i need to not only mention it, but I should also teach people about safe s.e.x and taking care of their health,” she said.

Zodwa said although some people had told her she shouldn’t have made her results public, she didn’t see anything wrong.

“There’s nothing taboo about sharing my status and making it general knowledge.
I’m a really open person. If I’m comfortable about something, I discuss it,” she said.

Zodwa, who is usually called insulting names, said she was happy it didn’t happen this point around.

“Although the tests don’t state clearly whether I’m negative or positive, I’m glad people didn’t call me names after seeing the results,” she said.

“There’s a stigma that I’m a loose person. once I saw messages of affection and not hate, I noticed people are now beginning to understand who Zodwa is.”

She was counseled before taking the test. and wasn’t scared in the least.

“I was comfortable. They made me understand what I used to be close to doing. If someone wants to urge tested but they feel scared, they will message me on Instagram and that I will chat to them,” she said.
