Octavia Spencer leaves no stone unturned in the whodunit

So I added AppleTV to my streaming options this week. As ridiculous as this may sound, I wanted commodity different to sink my teeth into.

And I plant two choices. The first bone was “ The Oprah Conversation”, where the queen of the talk show had a sit down with Will Smith to bandy his bio, Will. When it comes to tell-alls, Oprah has the Midas touch.
Not going to lie however, I want to get my hands on the book now.

And also I stumbled onto the crime drama “ Truth Be Told”, which is grounded on Kathleen Barber’s novel, “ Are You Sleeping”, with Octavia Spencer, Kate Hudson and Mekhi Phifer as the leads.

The alternate season dropped lately. Spencer is one of my favourite actresses. Like Viola Davis, Taraji P Henson and Regina King, her gift was recognised times after joining the assiduity.

It was her part in the period drama “ The Help” that propelled her into the limelight. She bagged her first Oscar, and she also walked down with Golden Globe and Bafta Supporting Actress accolades too.
The first occasion demurred off with Poppy attending an exhibition of Micah Keith (Hudson), her nonage BFF and successful life practitioner who runs aGoop-esque conglomerate called Shelter. But the joyful mood is short-lived after Micah’s hubby Josh is plant dead in his plant.
And as far as optics go, Poppy tries to shield Micah from seeing breathless body next to a youthful man. But she’s unfit to.

In trying to be probative, Poppy finds herself bogged in the disquisition. Micah needs answers. But Detective Aames (David Lyons), who’s no addict of Poppy, especially when it comes to her snooping with the disquisition, begrudgingly starts to heed her tips about there being so much further to the murders.
After agreeing to do a podcast about Josh’s murder, Poppy soon finds herself disaccorded between staying unprejudiced during the disquisition and being a confidante and friend to Micah.
