Manaka Ranaka talks about how she was expelled for refusing to abort her baby

Very pregnant Manaka Ranaka has taken to social media to wish her eldest daughter, Katlego, a blissful 20th birthday celebration. The actress had to re-visit a really unpleasant ordeal where she was given an ultimatum by her previous employers.

The proud mother revealed that when she was pregnant together with her first baby, her previous employer who was a lady told her to abort her baby but she refused. This resulted in her getting fired.

In an emotional Instagram post wishing her daughter a cheerful 20th birthday, Manaka boasted about proud she is of her and the way she has zero regrets.

“Happy Birthday Mama. The one who made me a mother. The one who made me a mom (grandmother). You @kay.stone_core are such a blessing in my life. We were so meant to be. 20 years of doing this life thing together, and I’ve never looked back since. I remember when women I worked for told me to abort you and that I was like la hlanya (y’all are crazy), they fired me!

Honestly, I didn’t care, coz I used to be so determined to stay you and enter a subsequent chapter in my life which was being a mom ( Lauren Hill’s song Zion kept me going once I felt that the planet was against us). i used to be ready man, as young as they said I used to be, I used to be ready for you, and it’s been quiet a journey baby. A journey I might repeat any day. Have a blessed day ngwanaka (my child). You’ll always be my baby. You’ve always been my Joy. My ZION. “
