When we consider a strong and powerful woman, Sophie Ndaba involves mind. The veteran actress who got diagnosed with diabetes lost tons of weight as a results of it. Social media, which has been said to be one among the most important culprits who fuel someone’s depression, did exactly that to Sophie.

The star who us currently browsing a separation from her cheating husband, allegedly, opened about this disease. chatting with Radio 2000, Sophie said she saw nothing wrong together with her body. consistent with the actress, she would still wear an equivalent clothes ‘Queen’ wore, because the lady she saw within the mirror, didn’t reflect her reality. She refused to simply accept it.
“I was at the deepest point of depression. i can not even explain it. once I believe it, i’m like ‘God, you saved me’ because i might look within the mirror and see an equivalent voluptuous woman. You wear an equivalent clothes, an equivalent style at that size and you continue to think it’s normal. that’s how deep it had been , i could not see a thing.”

Lasizwe Dambuza

Lasizwe opened about having depression saying the celebrity monster changed him for the worst. It got worse when he lost his father whilst he and his siblings were on a visit to Cape Town .

He wanted to delete his social media pages and begin afresh. “I’ve lost my true authentic self! I even have become fake and plastic! the celebrity monster has gotten a hold of me! What you’ll do on behalf of me is to wish for me! Honestly please pray for me! it might really help,” he wrote.

“With that being said with immediate effect i’m deleting all my social media applications and beginning a journey of self-discovery. i’m still fighting a winning battle! Depression is real and deadly! i really like you and appreciate you so much! I be happy .”


On his 34th birthday, Reason opened about all he went through as a results of depression. He even mentioned what proportion DJ Maphorisa helped him affect it.

“To tell you the reality , Turning 34 found me making music and having an extended conversation with @dj_maphorisa_ that probably got me out of a 3-year long depression I didn’t realize i used to be under.

“Mainly because there’s tons of hidden pain in loss. Loss of family, money, success, business, love, status, and even self. The spirit becomes susceptible to the hard-hitting changes of life not going your way,” he wrote.

Unathi Nkayi

“There were times i might rock up in my onesie with slippers on and I’d throw a tracksuit over to look as if I made an attempt , which I clearly couldn’t at my lowest of lows. there have been times i might rock up stinking of alcohol from the night before, i’m sure I even have sat on my therapist’s sofa still drunk from the night before. BUT through it all I knew i might love the lady i used to be performing on becoming BECAUSE I knew she deserved to be happy. Which I deeply am today.”

Trevor Noah

Trevor spoke to South China Morning Post about the pandemic and the way he overworks himself. He also spoke about his psychological state .

“It was terrible. Are you kidding me? If anyone struggles with depression, if anyone’s working through anxiety, you’ll do an honest job of managing that. you’ll manage how you eat, you’ll manage how you exercise, how you get fresh air, how you accompany people.

“All this stuff contribute to your psychological state . Having it all stripped away directly took a toll on society that I don’t think we’ve begun to know ,” he said.
